Professional Pet Groomer

Job Type: Full-time Professional Pet Groomer
Job Location: Georgetown, Guyana.
Salary: Base ($100,000 per month) + 10% commission on each groom

Duties Include:

• Dog grooming, bathing, drying, and styling.
• Cleaning and plucking ears, nail trimming, and filing.
• Brushing, combing, de-shedding, and coat maintenance.
• Proper handling and care of dogs during grooming sessions.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, bathing areas, cages, and the grooming spa.
• Ensuring the grooming spa and work areas are cleaned continuously throughout the day and thoroughly cleaned at the end of each workday.
• Assisting in maintaining a safe, organized, and hygienic work environment.
• Providing exceptional customer service to clients and pet owners.

Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of pet grooming experience.
• Must be patient, caring, and passionate about dogs and animal care.
• Should demonstrate compassion and patience when working with animals.
• Bring a positive attitude to work and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Prior experience as a bather, grooming assistant, or veterinary assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to handle bathing, drying, and grooming multiple dogs per day, including lifting larger breeds when necessary.
• Willingness to continue learning grooming techniques and accept constructive feedback.
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance along with a hygienic work environment.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, reliability, initiative, and exceptional attention to detail are essential.
