Compensation: 30% commission on all grooms completed

About the Role

Paws and Claws is seeking an experienced and skilled Professional Dog Groomer to join our grooming team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate must be confident working with different dog breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments while maintaining high standards of grooming and animal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, and styling.
• Carry out breed-specific and customer-requested grooming styles.
• Safely handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
• Assess the condition of each dog's coat and communicate any concerns to management when necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of grooming quality and presentation.
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of every dog during the grooming process.
• Keep grooming tools, equipment, and work areas clean and properly sanitized.
• Follow all Paws and Claws grooming procedures, safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional dog groomer.
• Strong knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques.
• Experience using professional grooming equipment and tools.
• Ability to safely and confidently handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
• Patient, responsible, and attentive to animal welfare.
• Ability to work efficiently in a professional and sometimes busy grooming environment.
• Must be available Tuesday to Thursday from 12:00 PM until closing.
